Pick up shifts at freestanding ERs across DFW

Statpick is a nurse-founded startup that helps healthcare workers level up their game in new environments. Think of us like an Uber-style platform or a high-tech PRN float pool where you get to pick up shifts at freestanding ERs (FSERs) across DFW. Currently, our strongest relationships are with FSERs in the Frisco and Forney areas, so if you live nearby or are willing to drive a bit for a higher hourly rate, we want to talk to you.

We are looking for a few skilled emergency Registered Nurses who are ready to triage, stabilize, and care for patients of every age in fast-paced FSER environments. We believe healthcare staffing can be fair, flexible, and highly profitable for nurses. We want you to have the ultimate flexibility to live your life while bringing home as much cash as possible.

But because we are a startup, we do things a little differently. Please read the sections below before applying.

What it's like joining a startup

We aren't a massive, legacy staffing agency with twenty years of rigid infrastructure. We are building the future of healthcare flexibility in real time. Here is the honest truth about what to expect:

  • The technical hurdles: Our platform is new. There will be occasional technical glitches, app delays, or clunky workflows as we iron out the kinks.
  • The operational growing pains: Because we don't have decades of history, processes aren't always perfectly smooth.
  • What we need from you: Nurses with the courage to try something new, the patience to handle a little administrative frustration, and the adaptability to roll with the punches.

Your license is our top priority

While joining a startup carries a different kind of operational risk (dealing with a new company versus an established giant), this does not mean professional or legal risk for you.

A note from our founder

"I am a nurse first, and I know exactly how hard you worked for your nursing license and certifications. I want to be 100% clear: protecting your professional credentials is my absolute top priority. While you might experience some administrative or technical frustration with our app, I will do everything in my power to keep you safe. We only partner with reputable facilities that maintain high standards for their staffing, equipment, and protocols. The risk here is just the novelty of our business, not your professional safety."

The nurse we're looking for

  • A skilled Registered Nurse with at least one year of recent experience in an emergency department, freestanding ER, or urgent care setting.
  • You hold an active Texas RN license or a multistate (compact) RN license in good standing.
  • You have a strong sense of autonomy. You can walk into an FSER with a lean team, take ownership of your patients, and make sound clinical decisions quickly.
  • You have a "pioneer" mindset and get excited about being on the ground floor of something disruptively positive for healthcare workers.
  • You're patient, adaptable, and willing to communicate openly with us as we grow together.

Why nurses join Statpick

  • Top-tier compensation: Higher dollars per hour to reward your emergency expertise and your willingness to grow with us.
  • Ultimate flexibility: Pick up the shifts you want, when you want them.
  • A voice in the tech: Your feedback will directly shape how our platform evolves. You aren't just a number; you are a founding member of our nursing community.

If you could pick up shifts across multiple DFW facilities precisely when and where you wanted, would you:

  • Have more freedom to plan your schedule and spend time with the people you care about?
  • Put more money in your pocket per hour compared to traditional, rigid staffing models?
  • Solve severe short-staffing problems within your own community instead of flying to travel contracts in another state?

The answer to all of these is yes! With Statpick, you can earn up to $70 an hour without committing yourself to a long-term corporate contract.

Please note: Statpick is a direct-matching local healthcare talent network. This listing is for continuous recruitment to build our founding DFW PRN pool. By applying, you are fast-tracking your credentialing so you can claim open shifts across our clinic network the moment they go live.

What you'll do

  • Triage & assessment: Rapidly triage and assess patients of all ages, recognize changes in condition, and prioritize care based on acuity.
  • Emergency interventions: Start IVs, draw labs, administer medications, and carry out physician orders safely and accurately.
  • Stabilization & response: Lead or support stabilization of critical patients, respond to codes, and help coordinate transfers to higher levels of care when needed.
  • Patient education & discharge: Explain treatments, answer questions, and give clear discharge instructions so patients and families know what comes next.
  • Clinical documentation: Maintain meticulous, HIPAA-compliant patient electronic health records (EHR) and document assessments and interventions accurately.
  • Collaboration: Work seamlessly alongside physicians, imaging techs, and medical staff to facilitate urgent care needs and smooth local patient flow.

Position requirements & qualifications

  • Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN).
  • Licensure: Active Texas RN license or multistate (compact) RN license in good standing.
  • Life support: Active Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) from the American Heart Association. TNCC or CEN is a plus.
  • Clinical experience: At least one year of recent RN experience in an emergency department, freestanding ER, or urgent care setting (FSER experience is a huge plus).
  • Physical capability: Ability to stand for prolonged periods and safely assist with patient mobility and positioning (ability to lift up to 50 lbs).
