Pick up shifts at freestanding ERs across DFW

Statpick is a nurse-founded startup that helps healthcare workers level up their game in new environments. Think of us like an Uber-style platform or a high-tech PRN float pool where you get to pick up shifts at freestanding ERs (FSERs) across DFW. Currently, our strongest relationships are with FSERs in the Frisco and Forney areas, so if you live nearby or are willing to drive a bit for a higher hourly rate, we want to talk to you.

We are looking for a few skilled Radiology Technologists who are ready to handle both X-ray and CT in fast-paced FSER environments. We believe healthcare staffing can be fair, flexible, and highly profitable for imaging professionals. We want you to have the ultimate flexibility to live your life while bringing home as much cash as possible.

But because we are a startup, we do things a little differently. Please read the sections below before applying.

What it's like joining a startup

We aren't a massive, legacy staffing agency with twenty years of rigid infrastructure. We are building the future of healthcare flexibility in real time. Here is the honest truth about what to expect:

  • The technical hurdles: Our platform is new. There will be occasional technical glitches, app delays, or clunky workflows as we iron out the kinks.
  • The operational growing pains: Because we don't have decades of history, processes aren't always perfectly smooth.
  • What we need from you: Techs with the courage to try something new, the patience to handle a little administrative frustration, and the adaptability to roll with the punches.

Your credentials are our top priority

While joining a startup carries a different kind of operational risk (dealing with a new company versus an established giant), this does not mean professional or legal risk for you.

A note from our founder

"I am a nurse first, and I know exactly how hard you worked for your registries and state licenses. I want to be 100% clear: protecting your professional credentials is my absolute top priority. While you might experience some administrative or technical frustration with our app, I will do everything in my power to keep you safe. We only partner with reputable facilities that maintain high standards for their equipment and protocols. The risk here is just the novelty of our business, not your professional safety."

The tech we're looking for

  • A skilled Radiology Technologist dual-certified/proficient in both X-ray and CT.
  • You hold active ARRT registration and applicable Texas state licensure (TMB).
  • You have a strong sense of autonomy. You can walk into an FSER, take control of the imaging bay, and deliver high-quality scans independently.
  • You have a "pioneer" mindset and get excited about being on the ground floor of something disruptively positive for healthcare workers.
  • You're patient, adaptable, and willing to communicate openly with us as we grow together.

Why techs join Statpick

  • Top-tier compensation: Higher dollars per hour to reward you for your dual-modality expertise and your willingness to grow with us.
  • Ultimate flexibility: Pick up the shifts you want, when you want them.
  • A voice in the tech: Your feedback will directly shape how our platform evolves. You aren't just a number; you are a founding member of our imaging community.

If you could pick up shifts across multiple DFW facilities precisely when and where you wanted, would you:

  • Have more freedom to plan your schedule and spend time with the people you care about?
  • Put more money in your pocket per hour compared to traditional, rigid staffing models?
  • Solve severe short-staffing problems within your own community instead of flying to travel contracts in another state?

The answer to all of these is yes! With Statpick, you can earn up to $70 an hour without committing yourself to a long-term corporate contract.

Please note: Statpick is a direct-matching local healthcare talent network. This listing is for continuous recruitment to build our founding DFW PRN pool. By applying, you are fast-tracking your credentialing so you can claim open shifts across our clinic network the moment they go live.

What you'll do

  • Perform diagnostic imaging: Safely and accurately operate diagnostic imaging equipment.
  • Patient care & preparation: Prepare and guide patients through the imaging process, explaining procedures, answering questions, and assisting with physical positioning to ensure both patient comfort and optimal image quality.
  • Radiation safety & protection: Strictly adhere to radiation safety protocols and ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) principles, using proper lead shielding and collimation to minimize exposure to patients, self, and staff.
  • Clinical documentation: Maintain meticulous, HIPAA-compliant patient electronic health records (EHR) and document procedural notes accurately.
  • Collaboration: Work seamlessly alongside physicians, nurses, and medical staff to facilitate urgent diagnostic needs and smooth local patient flow.

Position requirements & qualifications

  • Education: Graduate of an accredited program in Radiologic Technology (Associate degree or higher).
  • Certification: Current registration/certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiography (R) and Computed Tomography (CT).
  • Licensure: Active state-issued Texas Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) license in good standing.
  • Life support: Active Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Clinical experience: Proven competency and hands-on experience independently operating both X-ray and CT equipment in a fast-paced or emergency setting (FSER experience is a huge plus).
  • Physical capability: Ability to stand for prolonged periods and safely assist with patient mobility and positioning (ability to lift up to 50 lbs).
